PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum. S# 5075L. Bbl. 3 3/4". Model 1920 Commercial Luger semi-automatic pistol produced by DWM from surplus and newly mfg. parts and components for commercial sales after World War I. Toggle is marked with the "DWM" intertwined monogram. Left side of the bbl. exhibits an illegible import mark. Left side of bbl. extension, underside of bbl., and left side of breechblock exhibit a Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. All serialized parts are matching, and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, bbl., as well as the rear toggle link. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster, which exhibits a partially legible maker mark on the interior of the closure flap that appears to read "DANZIGERLEDER/ 1916". CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their blue finish, with the balance exhibiting wear and thinning that shows through to gray patina, with scattered spots of light pitting and age related discoloration present overall. Fair bore, exhibiting pitting, while retaining fair to good rifling throughout. Grips show heavy smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting areas of age related cracking and crazing overall. Left belt loop and loading tool provision are absent. (24-6491/MLW). CURIO. $500-800.
