Cal. 30 Luger. S# 79657. Bbl. 3 7/8". Model 1923 Commercial semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM from a variety of new and surplus parts for commercial sales after the conclusion of World War I. Right side of bbl. is marked "GERMANY", with a Crown/N commercial nitro proof stamped on the left, which is also present on the underside of the bbl., as well as on the left side of the forward toggle link. Major metal components exhibit a rust blue finish, with some smaller components including the takedown lever, trigger, safety lever, and ejector exhibiting a straw finish. Sideplate has been reblued at one time. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, and bbl. Breechblock and rear toggle link do not match, but match themselves. Mag. is a later WWII era aluminum bottom replacement. MAGS: 1 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked vintage cardboard box containing several Luger pamphlets and a DWM Luger manual in English. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their factory finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning, with mild to moderate oxidation present overall. Bright bore, exhibiting light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips exhibit some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Box shows moderate wear, with some separation at corners.
