SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum. S# 10577. Bbl. 4 3/4". Model P'00/06 Luger, mfg. by DWM under contract for the Swiss military. This example falls within the 10001-12000 S# range, indicating that it was not shipped to Waffenfabrik Bern as a parts set and was instead serialized and finished by DWM. The top of the bbl. extension is marked with the Swiss Federal cross within a shield, with no Major Vogelsang inspection proof present on the left. Major metal components exhibit a blue finish, with some smaller components exhibiting a straw finish overall. Grip safety appears to have been period relued, possibly at the arsenal. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. All serialized parts are matching in DWM's commercial (hidden) style and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, as well as the toggles. MAGS: 1 Swiss 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning that shows through to gray patina, with some scattered flecks of surface oxidation present overall. Grip safety exhibits some pitting beneath the finish. Strawed components exhibit some wear, with worn areas exhibiting a gray patina and scattered spots of age-related discoloration. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of what appears to be grease while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips exhibit some light to mild smoothing, as well as some scattered nicks to the diamonds, but are otherwise very good overall. (24-4121/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
