Cal. 30 Luger. S# 8326. Bbl. 4 3/4". Swiss P'06 Luger semi-automatic pistol, mfg. as a parts set by DWM and sent to Waffenfabrik Bern for finishing and serialization. The bbl. extension is marked with a Swiss Federal cross within a sunburst, with the left side exhibiting a boxed Cross/V proof (indicating inspection by Major Vogelsang). Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Front of the frame is stamped "P31", indicating that this example was reworked/refurbished for private purchase. Major metal components exhibit a Swiss arsenal reapplied blue finish, with some smaller components exhibiting either a straw or nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Blade front sight, with V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, bbl., the bbl. extension, breechblock, toggles, as well as the grips. MAGS: one 8-rd. CONDITION: major metal components retain the majority of their reapplied Swiss arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some light wear and thinning, with spots/areas of light to mild surface oxidation present overall. Strawed components exhibit varying degrees of wear, with worn areas exhibiting a gray patina and scattered spots of age-related discoloration. Mirror bore, exhibiting some grease within the grooves while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show light smoothing and a few impressions to the diamonds, but are otherwise very good overall. Grip screws exhibit a mostly gray patina, with the left screw having cracked and warped on the left side. (24-4059/MLW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
