BROWNING SIDE PLATED MIDAS F2 GRADE BROADWAY TRAP O/U SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. 2 3/4". S# 13703S3. Bbls are 30" with 3/8" wide rib. Bottom bbl is fitted with a Briley MOD choke tube. Top bbl has been opened to MOD. Original choke markings were M & F. White target front sight. Blue finished side plated action has spectacular hand engraving. Right side plate has 3 gold inlaid flying mallards. Left side plate features 3 flying pheasants. These scenes are surrounded by gold wire borders. Floorplate has gold plate flying quail. Balance of action has fine vine type foliate scroll with shaded background and ornate borders that continue to upper and lower receiver areas, trigger guard, forend iron and breech end of bbl. Lower left side of receiver has signature of master engraver "E. Bernard". Gold finished SST. Selective ejectors. Schnable tipped three piece forearm and flat knob long tang stock of exhibition quality European walnut having striking brown and reddish tones w/ black highlights. Features include fine point pattern hand checkering with drop point behind left lock. Drop behind behind right lock is removed to avoid discomfort of shooter's hand. LOP: altered 14 3/8" over a thin solid black sporting clays pad. DAC: 1 5/8". DAH: 2 1/8". Neutral cast. WEIGHT: 7lb 11.4 oz. S# indicates 1961 Belgian manufacture. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Browning case with added leather cover. Inside of lid has an added black Browning Arms Co. label. Case contains its key. CONDITION: metal retains over 95% original blue showing edge and carry wear with fading on trigger guard. Wood has lightly worn finish and checkering showing some scratches and marks. Action is tight with top lever setting at center. Very good bright bores. (25-940/DS). CURIO. $6,000-10,000.
