SHOTGUN. Cal. 10 Ga., 2 5/8" S# 13886. Mfg. 1882-1888. Damascus steel barrels have been cut to 24" with brass bead. Cyl. bores. Locks and receiver have light border & scroll engraving. Action features double triggers & extractors. Checkered walnut stock set with ebony forearm tip, Deeley forearm release & round knob pistol grip. LOP: 13.5" to steel buttplate. CONDITION: barrels show dull damascus pattern along with worn markings to a brown patina appearance showing marks throughout. Receiver has faded to gray patina with marks & spots of varnish. Lightly sanded & refinished wood shows varnish in the checkering, numerous handling marks & scattered small chips; large crack on left side through wrist. Bores shows heavy pitting. (01-26967/md).
