SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 313156k. Bbl. 3 1/4". Model PPK semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1941 for police use. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Left side of the frame is marked with an Eagle/C police proof. Right side of the frame, slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the chamber area, which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece Walther banner checkered mottled brown synthetic grip. Slide features a solid grooved matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and fixed U-notch rear sight. Slide matches the frame via "156", which is etched on the interior, parallel to the ejection port. MAGS: 1 blued 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered areas of light surface oxidation overall. Sides and rear of frame spur exhibit spots of mild pitting. Mirror bore, exhibiting some spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show mild age related warping and scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner.
