SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 8340x. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser for German police use during World War II. The bbl. extension is marked "1941" over the chamber, with a German Eagle/N commercial nitro proof on the left and an Eagle/L police proof marked on the right. Toggle is marked with the Mauser banner logo. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, with the bbl. extension exhibiting a plum hue. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Bbl. extension is fitted with a Schiwy sear safety. Standard blade front sight, with V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety lever & bar, hold-open latch, bbl. extension, trigger bar, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, toggles, as well as the rear toggle pin. Bbl. is unnumbered. Grips and mags. have been renumbered to match. MAGS: 2 aluminum bottom 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster marked "A.FISCHER/ BERLIN C.2/ 1941" above a part eagle proof on the rear. Holster contains an unmarked loading tool. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some mild wear and thinning, a few spots of light surface oxidation, as well as some areas of light to mild pitting that is present beneath the bluing. Dark pitted bore, retaining good rifling throughout. Grips are good, showing mild smoothing, as well as a few minor nicks and impressions to the diamonds. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear and some scattered handling marks overall. Side of mag. pouch shows some cracking and crazing, but is otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
