Cal. 22 S. S# 13379. Bbl. 3 3/16". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching assembly numbers on grip frame, cyl. & bbl. Early type with two cyl. patent dates. 7-shot cyl. Last patent date is 1859. Blued bbl. Silver plated brass frame. Smooth hardwood grips with matching numbered right panel. CONDITION: grips show older added finish with some flaking, dings, light chips & handling marks. Frame retains 60% original silver plate with scattered fading to gray, a patch on dings on bottom front of frame, some wood finish overrun, light scratches, light oxidation & handling marks. Bbl. & cyl. retain 30% original blue with overall fading to gray, scattered edge wear, oxidation & light pitting. Bbl. to frame fit is loose & cyl. spins freely when trigger is pulled. Bore shows scattered pitting & oxidation but evident rifling. PROVENANCE: Amoskeag Auction 49 Lot 59. (01-28104/MJC). ANTIQUE. $700-900.
