HIGH POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, WITH TWO MATCHING MAGAZINES. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 235. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale under contract for the Austrian police. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/ HERSTAL BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". Left side of the frame and slide, as well as the right side of the bbl. exhibit Belgian commercial proofs. Front grip strap is marked "LGK K/ 0127", indicating issue to the Karnten (Carinthia) police. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips, which feature red anti-moisture barrier paint on the interior of the panels. Thumbprint slide features a serrated blade front sight, with a dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 2 matching blued 13-rd. mags. with black enamel finished floorplates, marked "LGK K/ 0127". CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Right side of the frame exhibits an area of light pitting. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
