Cal. 8mm Steyr. S# 784. Bbl. 5". Blade front sight. V-notch rear sight. Early model w/o disconnector. Rear of the frame has an Austrian eagle "Wn 9" acceptance stamp denoting 1909 KUK acceptance. Blued finish. Grooved hardwood grips with an unmarked disc on the right side. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather Austrian holster that has belt loops. Holster shows overall crazing and some crackling. CONDITION: grips display a loose fit with a couple chips, scattered dings, and handling wear. Extractor retains most of its strawed finish with some oxidation. Other strawed parts are mostly faded to gray with some oxidation. The balance of metal retains 40% of its original blue with overall fading, a few dings, and some oxidation. Very good, bright bore. PROVENANCE: the collection of Curtis H. Halvorson. (23-5886/MJC).
