REVOLVER. Cal. 455 Webley. S# 1509. Bbl. 6 1/2". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on frame, cyl., bbl. & extractor. Early British issue Triple Lock revolver. Right front of frame has British "X" marking & rear of frame has two Broad Arrows facing each other. Other parts have varied British inspection stamps. Blued finish with case colored trigger & hammer. Unnumbered checkered hardwood grips with diamond center & gold S&W medallions. Lanyard ring present on bottom of grip frame. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: aftermarket black hardcase with leather holster. CONDITION: grips show some staining, handling marks & dings. Trigger & hammer retain strong amounts of case colors with some fading & light oxidation. Balance of metal retains 70% blue with some pitting underneath grips, scattered dings, light oxidation, edge wear & fading. Bottom of grip frame has scratch initials that appear to read "GR". Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bright bore with some light oxidation. (24-6898/MJC). CURIO. $1200-1800.
