Cal. 7.62x39. S# 2H0047. Bbl. 21.5". Mfg. 1959-1960. Receiver is marked on the left side with triangle 26, indicating Jianshe Arsenal, with 3 Chinese characters, and the original S# 2H0047 matches on the bolt, trigger guard, magazine, stock, and receiver cover. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1,000m. Post front sight with a protective hood. Cleaning rod is present. An 8 7/8" folding blade bayonet. Tan web sling with leather collars marked in Chinese, translated to "56-style 762 semiautomatic rifle". Hardwood stock and handguard. CONDITION: stock demonstrates period-typical scratches and impressions while retaining structural integrity. Right side of the stock is marked with yellow paint in Chinese, translated to "serve the people". Metal finish has thinned in a uniform way, turning gray with a fairly consistent patina throughout. Barrel is marked "CAI ST A VT / SKS 762 CHINA". Bright bore with strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (24-2367/JZ). CURIO. $1,500-2,250.
