Cal. 25 ACP. S# 18669. Bbl. 2 1/8". Model 1908 Vest Pocket semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Colt in the second year of production (1909). The left side of the slide is marked with an early variation legend "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO., HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." above patent information, with "COLT AUTOMATIC/ CALIBRE 25" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with some small parts including the trigger, safety lever, and grip safety exhibiting a case colored finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown hard rubber "COLT" grips, each featuring the Rampant Colt logo atop a stylized "C". Slide features a concave sight groove, with a diminutive blade front sight and U-notch rear sight. Slide matches the frame via the full S# on the interior. MAGS: x1 blued steel 6-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, some light superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Bore is relatively bright, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some light smoothing and a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. (26-2086/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
