Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 9024d. Bbl. 19 1/4". Standard G33/40 sights with sight hood that appears to be a later replacement. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt handle & stock. 1940 dated & 945 coded Brunn G33/40 mountain carbine. Front of triggerguard has "GERMANY" import marking. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with faint "63" inspection stamps, cupped buttplate, left side sling provisions & leather sling. Cleaning rod present. CONIDITON: refinished stock has added varnish with 1 3/4" handguard crack ahead of rear sight, scattered dings & handling marks. Buttplate shows scattered oxidization, dings & scratches. Balance of metal retains 20% blue with overall fading to gray, some old touch up finish, handling marks, a couple spots of light pitting & some light oxidation. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore is mostly bright with strong rifling but some sparse frosting & light pitting. (25-4264/MJC). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
