BREECHLOADING RIFLE. Cal. 243 Win. S# 2481. Bbl. 26". No. 1 single-shot breechloading rifle mfg. by Ruger in 1968. The top of the bbl. is marked with Ruger's mfg. information, with the cal. designation marked on the left at the breech. Receiver is marked "RUGER" within a banner above "No.1" over the chamber. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Checkered wood buttstock with steel Ruger medallion-capped pistol grip and checkered wood forend. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish overall, exhibiting few light superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows a few light marks from handling and storage overall. An extremely fine and early Ruger No. 1 rifle. (23-6366/MLW).
