COCKING SYSTEM. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-5/8". S# 18696. The 30" damascus barrels have flat matted rib. Bottoms of barrels are stamped with crowned "GL", maker's marks and S# on bottom of left. Semi-sidelock case hardened action with self-compensating locking system features automatic safety, bushed strikers, cocking indicators and double triggers. Cocking system is of the transitional opposed hook type while extractor is of early type with cam in forend iron. Action is engraved with line borders on lockplates which are also marked "LEFEVER ARMS CO". Last patent date on trigger plate is "87". S# is on trigger guard tang which extends to fluted hard rubber cap. Lightly marbled European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 13-5/8" over Lefever logo buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter forend with metal tip has push button release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .734. R .733. Restriction: L .012 (mod). R .037 (full). Barrels retaining about 70% original damascus finish. Action and sideplates retain about 40% original case color most loss is on right side of action which shows cleaning.
