. Cal. 380 ACP. S# A1312. Bbl. 5". From its introduction, to the legislative imposed cutoff of 05-19-1986 the M-11 series guns were a popular & affordable entry level SMG. It's low price was only rivaled by its reliability & these little bullet hoses continue to perform just as well several decades later. RPB's entry into the "Micro Mac" semiautomatic pistol market was the tiny M11, open bolt pistol, chambered in .380 ACP. It was eventually designated the M11-A1 so as not to be confused w/ their popular 9mm, M11 Submachine Gun. While the traditional MAC 10 or even the 9mm M-11 were generally considered "boxy" or "chunky" in design, the M11-A1 pistol & M11 380 SMG was similar in size to the Colt 1911, though not quite as ergonomic in design. The suppressor users enjoyed the M11 380 since ammo was already subsonic, just like the 45ACP and provided a very low sound signature when fired. This particular example is an early M11 .380 w/ black parkerized finish. Protected post front sight. Rear peep sight is a hole drilled in the rear receiver extension to coincide w/ the front sight. Collapsible, folding shoulder stock. Slotted charging knob provides an unobstructed view. The action is locked by rotating the charging knob 90-degrees in the closed position. Safety is located on the right side of the receiver, inside the trigger guard. Threaded barrel w/ strap hanger. The familiar snake logo appears on the right rear of the lower receiver. Blowback operated, open bolt, select fire action. Right side receiver marked: "MAC M11 CAL. 380 SMG / MILITARY ARMAMENT CORP / MARIETTA, GA. U.S.A".. The left side is marked: "RPB INDUSTRIES INC. / ATLANTA GA., U.S.A." w/ serial number. MAGS: 4 steel 30 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Brown, hard brief case, wooden shoulder stock, 8.75" faux suppressor / barrel extension, Cobray shoulder holster, spare spring kit & correct mag loading tool. CONDITION: finish on exterior metal surfaces enjoy complete coverage w/ some light thinning on high spots & on areas of mechanical intervention. Right side has small milled area where it appears to be remarked '380". Bore is bright w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT SMG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1902/JZ). MODERN CLASS III. $6,000-9,000.
