Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 177933. Bbl. 32" w/ Parker Bros. markings on top of slightly raised matted ventilated rib, steel type is not noted. Case hardened Parker type boxlock action is engraved w/ near full coverage lg. open shaded scroll w/ Parker Bros. on each side. Trigger plate is also scroll engraved, the familiar flying dove did not appear until 1919. Although the serial number is low for this model, gun is not fitted w/ early removable firing pin access hole on right side. Replacement straight grip buttstock of American walnut w/ quilted figure measures 14 1/4" over Pachmayr trap pad. Borderless point pattern checkering is at grip. Target type flattened beavertail forend has usual Parker type release, patent date is on iron. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: .732". Restriction: .035" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: .060". STOCK: DAH: 1 9/16". DAC: 1 1/2". LOP: 14 1/4". CAST: Neutral. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 12 oz. CONDITION: good to fine as refurbished, bbl. retaining over 90% reblue. Action has nearly all of a recolor hardening. Engraving is lightly softened. Newer custom stocks retain nearly all of their varnish finish. Forend wood possibly original has checkering w/ mullered borders. Bore is fairly shiny, lightly frosted. Action a bit loose w/ forend removed, feels tight w/ forend installed. Ejector is operable.
