RIFLE. Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# 161581. Bbl. 23". Model 62A slide action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1946. The left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. information, followed by the model and cal. designations, as well as the Winchester trademark logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood straight grip buttstock, with Winchester checkered black synthetic buttplate, and grooved wood pump. Dovetailed red beaded Marbles No. 3 blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that lightly show through gray patina, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
