Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 63688. Bbl. 4 5/8". Round blade front sight. V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers on frame, slide, and bbl. Pistol appears to be a postwar high-power pistol made by FN. There is what appears to be a faint boxed "2" on the right front of the trigger guard, which would denote 1952 mfg. Blued finish. Checkered hardwood grips. MAGS: one 13 rd. w/ blued floorplate & phosphate body. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unnumbered black Browning box with red lining. CONDITION: grips show a couple light dings and some handling marks. Metal retains 90% professional reblue with a couple spots of blued-over pitting, scattered edge wear, handling marks, and some fading on the backstrap. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Very good+, bright bore. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Jim Williams. (24-2676/MJC). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
