Cal. 8mm Nambu. S# 5101. Bbl. 4 3/4". Blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on the slide, bolt, cocking piece, and trigger; both grip panels, firing pin, and extension are all unnumbered. Right rear of the frame has a "4.7" Showa date for July 1929. Right rear of the slide has a Tokyo arsenal marking and serial number. Blued finish with strawed, small parts. Grooved Asian hardwood grip panels. MAGS: two 8-rd., both mismatched and brightly finished. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Leather clamshell holster with a spare firing pin. CONDITION: Grips show some wear from safety rotation and handling marks. Metal is turning gray with scattered traces of original blue, oxidation, and pitting. Safety is loose but functional; the action otherwise appears functional when hand-cycled. Bore shows some light pitting and frosting but evident rifling. (24-6991/MJC). CURIO. $600-900.
