RIFLE. Cal. 44 WCF. S# 3871. Bbl. 24" round. Sporting front sight w/ elevator adj. sporting rear sight. Full length mag. Action features mortised style thumb-print dust cover & early style lever latch. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. 1975. CONDITION: metal finish has faded to gray-brown patina w/ some blue remaining on mag. tube. Wood has age darkened worn appearance showing numerous scratches, marks & small dents w/ small chips behind the lower tang. Action has good function. Bore retains strong rifling showing darkness in the grooves. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Jerry Senter. (01-24835/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,500-5,000.
