Cal. 16 GA. S# 5530. Bbl. 25". Model 12 pump action shotgun mfg. by Winchester in early 1913. Left side of the bbl. is marked "NICKEL STEEL," followed by the Winchester trademark logo, the model and cal. designations, as well as "IMP. CYL." with Winchester's mfg. and patent information marked on the right. Underside of receiver and bbl. is marked with the S# "5530." Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, with the bolt and lift gate having been polished in-the-white and jeweled. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock and grooved wood pump have been sanded and revarnished. Buttplate appears to be a contemporary replacement. Solid matte rib with aluminum bead front sight. CONDITION: excellent, as refinished, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild pitting beneath the finish. Fair bore, exhibiting mild to moderate pitting throughout. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
