Cal. 32 WSL. S# 17260. Bbl. 22". Model 1905 semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Winchester during the second year of production (1906). Top of the bbl. exhibits markings stipulating Winchester's mfg. and patent information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Bbl. exhibits a blue finish. Plain wood straight grip buttstock and forend. Lyman blade front sight (bead is absent), with U-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. Receiver tang has been drilled and tapped, with the front screw being absent. MAGS: 1 5-rd. CONDITION: receiver retains a mottled gray patina, with scattered spots of oxidation and pitting present overall. Bbl. retains fair amounts of its original blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning that shows through to gray patina, with scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting present overall. Fair bore, exhibiting consistent mild to moderate pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage. Buttstock exhibits a large crack on the left side of the wrist, with a large crack present on the bottom, and a small crack present on the right. Forend exhibits 2 large cracks on the right, with a large crack present on the left. (25-1538/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
