Cal. 351 SL. S# 12819. Bbl. 20". Model 1907 self-loading rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1908. Top of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's 3-line mfg. and patent information, followed by "-.351 CAL-". Upper receiver tang is marked "WINCHESTER/ TRADE MARK/ MOD. 1907. S.L.". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which exhibits a nitre blue finish. 1-piece plain wood forearm and pistol grip buttstock with checkered black hard rubber buttplate. Marbles Sheard brass tipped blade front sight with standard elevation adj. V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. MAGS: x1 blued steel 5-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that are fading to gray patina, some scattered spots of light surface oxidation, as well as scattered superficial handling marks overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting consistent very light to light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks, minor impressions, as well as some finish wear and chipping, but otherwise remains sound. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret.
