A good example of a scarcer early WWII officer's field cap in sage green with white piping for infantry. This is a crusher type cap with no real form and a rough heavy leather visor. There is a sewn cloth eagle at the peak and a cloth wreath with cockade at the front of the band. Leather sweatband and the lining appears to be cotton. CONDITION: cap does show some moth nips but no major holes. Visor is a bit loose. Both the sweatband and the lining are present but partially detached. (02-26118/BF). NON-GUN. $600-900.
