Cal. 75. NSN. Bbl. 39" smoothbore. Mfg. 1845-51. Percussion musket made by East India Company. Lock has proper lion marking. Hammer is functional when hand cycled. Trigger guard has Nepalese characters. Brass buttplate, trigger guard, nosecap, thimble & pipes. Hardwood stock set. Cleaning rod present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2004 American Rifleman Issue discussing the discovery & sale of these muskets. CONDITION: stock shows a few chips, some forend cracks, dents scattered dings & handling wear. Brass parts are a dull yellow patina w/ scattered oxidation & dings. Balance of metal is mostly a gray patina w/ scattered oxidation & pitting. Oxidized bore. (01-25127/MJC). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
