Cal. .65. NSN. Bbl. 9 1/4". The round bbl. shows no visible proofs; the crudely executed lock also is unmarked. Ornate brass trigger guard with crudely cast foliate-decorated, brass buttcap. The side plate appears to be equally ornate, but specific designs are difficult to discern because of the crude nature of the casting. There are numerous brass wire inlays to the wooden stock, along with six hemispherical MOP inlays in front of the lock and eight behind the lock. CONDITION: iron has an ancient, dark patina. The lock does function but appears to be missing a jaw or jaws. Brass has a dark patina. Wood is solid but many wire inlays are dislodged. MOP inlays are complete. Poor bore. (01-26034/BF). ANTIQUE. $200-400.
