RELATED ITEMS. 1) Ideal No.4 Reloading Tool marked "44-40". One line patent date. Integral bullet mold. Non-adjustable sizing chamber. Tool is worn, but appears to be in serviceable condition. 2) Winchester Bullet Mold. Marked "44 W.C.F.". Winchester markings on the side of the mold block have been rendered largely illegible due to the small dents which were likely made in an effort to make bullets drop from the mold. The mold has added hardwood handles. Mold is worn with numerous small dents and handling marks. 3) Brass Spittoon marked "Property of Wells Fargo & Co Express San Francisco Division". The brass spittoon, with its pleasing patina, measures approximately 7 3/4" in diameter and 8" tall with the markings contained in a copper shield on the side. Spittoon is accompanied by a document dated "July 8th, 1949" from an auction of Wells Fargo and railway express equipment. This document describes the spittoon as a rare salesman's sample, one of 12 sent to San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and New York. It further states no orders were placed. 4) Antique Medical Irrigator. This unique medical device, made in Paris in the 19th century, stands approximately 9" tall and is approximately 3 1/4" in diameter except as regards the "T" handle and valve at the bottom. The device is labeled "NO2 A B PARIS". The irrigator is made of pewter and brass with copper coloration applied. The spring-loaded geared rack is functional. The valve at the bottom appears frozen in position. Device has wear, numerous handling marks and areas of flaking copper paint. 5) Blanket Covered Tin Confederate Canteen. Has old museum label marked "Rebel". The canteen, which measures approximately 6 1/2" in diameter, is covered with a green blanket-like material. The brown leather shoulder-strap is present having a vintage repair. The stopper is not present. Canteen and cover in good condition with light wear and staining. 6) Brass Powder Flask with stag head and oak leaf motif. Adjustable spout graduated with 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 2 3/4" and 3" drams. Flask is otherwise unmarked. Flask measures approximately 8" long. Flask has wear and small dents. One carrying ring is missing, leaving the three others present. Spring-loaded valve is functional. 7) Pair of Heavy Brass Stirrups with riveted leather foot pads. Stirrups have raised "MD" markings flanked by "leaves". Stirrups have wear and handling marks with a pleasing patina. 8) Pair of Brass Spurs. The unmarked spurs have a rotating steel rowel. Spurs are in worn, but serviceable condition. 9) Two Daguerreotype Cases. The hinged cases are labeled "LITTLEFIELD PARSONS & CO". The Union cases have an embracing riveted hinge. Patented in 1856 and 1857. One case has notably loose hinges. Gutta Percha cases with patriotic motifs have moderate wear and contain no images. 10) Copper Disc Medallion. Approximately 3 1/2" in diameter. Marked around the circumference "THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA 22 FEBRUARY 1862 DEO VINDICE". The center of the medallion shows a mounted figure of George Washington. Confederate reunion medal marked 42nd Annual Reunion "U.C.V.". The bar is marked "CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL INSTITUTE RICHMOND. VA". Red and white ribbon features raised image of Robert E. Lee above an enshielded red and blue "Stars and Bars". Pin back. Medal is stained and moderately worn with notable damage to the ribbon. Brass Cross of Confederate Honor marked "DEO VINDICE 1861 1865". Bar is inscribed "TOO? BURN COEE'S LEGION CO.R". Markings are notably difficult to read. Bar is marked on back "PATENTED / CHARLES W. CRANKSHAW / ATLANTA". Cross is well-worn with a patina'd appearance. 11) Battlefield Relic Nipple Protector. Likely from British Enfield Rifle. 12) Six Battlefield Relic Minie Balls. 13) Two Stoneware Crucibles measuring approximately 2 1/2" in diameter and 3" tall. One is marked illegibly on the bottom. Crucibles have no visible cracks, but are well-used. 14) Brown stoneware inkwell approximately 1 3/4" by 1 3/4". Worn with several small chips. 15) Stoneware two-tone ginger beer bottle. Tan and white. Approximately 8" tall. Has light wear with no visible cracks. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of John "Jack" Dhooghe. (02-25569/RW). NON-GUN. $500-800.
