Cal. 8x57. S# 1227 (Farsi). Bbl. 25 3/4" including Flash suppresser. These rifles were manufactured in Egypt and are based on the Swedish Ljungman design. Tangent rear sight graduated in Farsi to 1,000 meters. Blade front sight w/ protective hood. Front sight is adj. for windage. Receiver is marked on left side w/ a Pschent Crown & "1958" year of manufacture. The right side of the receiver carries import markings. Hardwood stock & handguard. Stock is marked on right side of butt w/ brass disk plus white painted markings. There are 2 additional white markings underneath the forend. Side mounted sling. Sling is marked "MRT 1977". MAGS: 1 unmarked detachable 10 rd. CONDITION: stock set has worn original finish w/ staining and scattered handling marks. Crack and sm. missing chip are ahead of magwell. Sm. crack behind bayonet mt. plus noticeable amount of wood around buttplate. Metal retains 60% worn, blue finish. Shiny bore w/ strong lands. (24-1407/RW). CURIO. $700-1,100.
