SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 8359 (1972). The 25" dovetailed barrels are marked "XXV" at rear of matted Churchill rib. Maker's name and address are engraved on tops. Barrel flats are stamped with Birmingham nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers. S#'s are engraved on bottom of barrels. Case hardened boxlock action features automatic safety and double triggers. Top lever, floor plate and trigger guard are blued. Action is engraved with sprays of scroll and has maker's name on each side. Floor plate is engraved with a Regal crown. S# is on trigger guard tang. Lightly figured Eurpoean walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/8" over checkered wood butt, which is also fitted with a laced on leather pad. Flat top point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .728. R .728. Restriction: L .017 (MOD). R .005 (IC). Wall thickness: L .032. R .028. STOCK: DAH: 2-5/8". DAC: 1-5/8". CAST: slightly off. LOP: 14-3/8". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 5 oz. (without pad). CONDITION: very fine; partially refinished. Barrels retaining nearly all of a later imersion blue (barrels still ring well). Action retains 60-70% case hardening color. Blued parts retain about 90% of their blue. Stocks retain nearly all of their original oil finish with a few scattered marks. Bores are bright and shiny without any noted problems. Mechanically good. Ejectors strong and in time. (24-4576/MGM).
