Cal. 577. NSN. Bbl. 21". Blade front sight. Rear sight slot missing. Right rear of lock has crown over "VR" marking. Center of lock has 1860 date over "ENFIELD". Right rear of bbl. has British proofs. Brass trigger guard. Hardwood stock with saddle bar, bottom mounted sling swivels & newer sling. Left side of butt has 1860 date roundel. No saddle ring or swivel ramrod assembly present. Replacement ramrod present. Bands display a loose fit. CONDITION: stock appears to have been sanded long ago with a couple cracks behind action, scattered chips, staining, dings & handling marks. Brass trigger guard is a dull yellow patina with an old screw repair at rear, scattered oxidation & dings. Balance of metal is a gray color with scattered oxidation & some dings. Replacement hammer is sluggish but functional when hand cycled. Oxidzed bore. (01-26246/MJC). ANTIQUE. $250-350.
