HOLSTER. Cal. 38/200. S# C4253. Bbl 5". No. 2 Mk I double action revolver manufactured at the Enfield arsenal in 1934. Right side of frame is stamped "ENFIELD" above a a crown and stampings stipulating the model designation and year of manufacture. Left side of barrel bears Arabic characters, likely indicating Egyptian use, with the underside exhibiting a Navy Arms import stamp. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece grooved wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, and cylinder. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: khaki canvas holster. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their arsenal blue finish, exhibiting mild to moderate surface oxidation overall, with some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas. Very bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting and strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing, with scattered marks and impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Holster is very good overall. (23-2599/MLW). CURIO. $300-400.
