Cal. 75. NSN. 54" overall. Bbl. 36 1/4" rnd. w/ London commercial proofs on left breech. Lock marked in lg. block letters “BARKER”. Mathias Barker is best known for his manufacture of Ferguson rifles used in America during the Revolutionary War. This example was made for the York Militia & so marked on bbl., rack numbers are found on top of buttplate. Unique design of trigger guard w/ no extensions mounted on oversized steel trigger plate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: hand written collector notes. CONDITION: very good overall, appears original & complete, stock refinished, otherwise solid & well fit. Sling swivels & trigger guard screw are replaced. Mechanically functional w/ a clear dirty bore. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of John "Tim" Breth Jr. (01-17773/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,500.
