SA REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Merwin & Hulbert. S# 14181. Bbl. 7" rnd. w/ half length lug. Integral semicircular front sight w/ fixed V notch rear sight on frame. 6 Shot scoop fluted cyl. Bbl. rotates to the right for loading. Gun has full coverage factory engraving featuring a diamond w/ bull elk on side plate. Balance of frame, bbl. & cyl. have foliate engraving w/ punch dot highlights. Full nickel finish. 2 Piece ivory grips w/ lanyard ring at butt. Inside left grip panel has assembly number "3599". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: S. D. Meyers, El Paso, Texas, period leather 44" cartridge belt & hand tooled unmarked Mexican style dbl. loop holster. CONDITION: 70% original nickel finish blending w/ areas of finish loss, very light pitting & sm. hammer marks. Original ivory grips have yellowing appearance w/ age related cracking. Left panel has glued crack along backstrap. Bore has slightly darkened appearance w/ largely intact rifling showing faint ring & spots of pitting towards the muzzle end. Sound mechanics.
