MODEL WITH FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 41 LC. S# 46041. Bbl. 2 1/2". 1877 Thunderer Storekeepers Model double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1883. Left side of bbl. exhibits an etched panel that is marked "COLT D.A. 41", w/ Colt's 2-line address across the top. Left side of frame is marked w/ Colt's patent information, w/ "41 CAL" stamped on the rear trigger guard web. Metal components exhibit a blue finish. Frame is mounted w/ 2-piece smooth ivory grips. Half-moon blade front sight w/ frame notched rear sight. All numbers are matching, w/ the exception of the cyl. Grips are matching via the full S#, which is handwritten in pencil on the interior of the panels. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory letter indicating that this revolver was shipped from the factory w/ a 2 1/2" bbl., blue finish, & "Not Listed" stocks, plus was sent in a shipment of 25 revolvers to Hartley & Graham in New York, NY on August 13th, 1883. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original factory blue finish having the balance exhibiting a mottled gray patina plus areas of light pitting present overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips exhibit a mellow patina w/ some scattered marks overall & some sm. cracks present along the edges. Right grip panel exhibits a sm. chip at the rear of the panel towards the butt.
