RIFLE. Cal. 45-60. NSN. Bbl. 28". Excavated relic condition Model 1876 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester. Original factory markings are illegible, save for on the brass elevator, which exhibits a partially legible "45-60". Frame is bent inward on both sides of the bolt/elevator slot. Lever exhibits warping and a loss on the underside towards the front of the loop, with the bottom half of the trigger no longer being present. Sights, mag. tube, sideplates, internals, hammer, and wood furniture are absent. CONDITION: metal components retain a dark gray patina, exhibiting heavy pitting overall, with scattered spots of oxidation, and some areas of dirt overall. Elevator exhibits scattered impressions on the underside and retains areas of pleasing brown patina overall. Action is frozen and is non-functional. (01-27005/MLW). ANTIQUE. $200-400.
