HIGH POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Para. S# 3880. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale under contract for Lithuania. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/ HERSTAL BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". Left side of the frame and slide, as well as the right side of the bbl. are marked with Belgian commercial proofs. Top of the slide is engraved with the Pillars of Gediminas crest. Left side of the frame (beneath the grip panel, top of slide (beneath the tangent rear sight), and left side of the bbl. lug are stamped with a small Pillars of Gediminas proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with tangent rear sight graduated 50-500. Slotted frame with distinctive staple lanyard loop on butt. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 2 13-rd. 1 mag. is blued with an Eagle/WaA140 proof on the spine, with the other exhibiting a parkerized finish and being unproofed. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: reproduction black leather holster. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of mild wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Edges of the slide exhibit some small concentrated spots of light to mild pitting. Very bright bore, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips are very good overall, exhibiting a few superficial marks from handling and storage. Reproduction holster is very good overall. A nice example of a scarce Lithuanian contract High Power pistol. (24-6896/MLW). CURIO. $2,000-4,000.
