JOHN WAYNE "THE DUKE" COMMEMORATIVE REVOLVER WITH FACTORY BOX & DISPLAY CASE. Cal. 22 LR. S# G211759. Bbl. 4 3/8". Single Action Army New Frontier John Wayne "The Duke" commemorative revolver mfg. by Colt circa. 1983-1984. Left side of the bbl. is marked "JOHN WAYNE" above "THE DUKE" in silver, with Colt's single address marked across the top and "NEW FRONTIER .22" marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked with Colt's patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Frame exhibits a case color hardened finish, with the bbl., ejector rod housing, and cyl. exhibiting a blue finish. Trigger, hammer, cyl. base pin latch, cyl. base pin, and ejector rod head exhibit a nickel plated finish. Aluminum alloy grip frame exhibits a black enamel type finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered black synthetic grips. Standard SAA pattern blade front sight with adj. square notch rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: commemorative wood display case containing a silver plated commemorative plaque, with matching factory box. CONDITION: near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes, showing few light superficial handling marks overall. Cyl. bears no dragline. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent. Display case is excellent. Box shows light exterior wear, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
