DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 32 S&W. S# 93891 (beneath left grip panel). Bbl. 2 7/16". British Bulldog double action revolver mfg. by Forehand & Wadsworth between 1878-1890. Top of the bbl. is marked "(MALTESE CROSS) FOREHAND & WADSWORTH.", with "BRITISH/ BULL-DOG" marked across the top strap of the frame. Metal components exhibit a nickel plated finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown hard rubber grips. Nickel plated brass fixed half-moon blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. Cyl. matches the frame via the full S#, with the loading gate matching via "91". Grips are matching via a handwritten "91" on the interior of the panels. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory nickel plated finish, exhibiting a few small spots of minor flaking and a few minor superficial handling marks overall. Bright bore, exhibiting some light to mild pitting and 2 small spots of dark pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some minor smoothing and a few light superficial handling marks, with the right grip exhibit a crack that stems from the rear grip strap. (01-30004/MLW). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
