REVOLVER WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 304642 (mfg. 1920). Approx. 151,700 produced from 1917-1920 as a supplemental side arm to the 1911 for the American Expeditionary Force. Butt of frame has US Army markings including S# 153164. Barrel 6" with US Property marking & blade front sight. 6 Shot fluted cyl. Revolver has "Rough" blue finish. Frame has lanyard ring at butt & eagle "S20" proof on left side. Two piece smooth walnut grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: G&K 1918 dated brown leather M1917 holster in very good intact condition showing scuffs, cracking on flap, patina on brass parts & verdigris. CONDITION: excellent. Over 95% original blue finish with light cyl. turn line, occasional small scratch & Light wear on butt from lanyard loop. Mixing of brown patina on on top strap in front of hammer, at frame hump, top of back strap, & bottom of front grip strap. Near excellent wood finish with a couple of handling marks. Near excellent bore with strong rifling. (24-6826/MD). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
