RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# 51360B. Bbl. 28". Model 52B bolt action target rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1942. Bbl. exhibits standard factory markings consisting of the Winchester trademark logo, as well as the model and cal. designations on the left, with Winchester's 2-line mfg. information marked on the right. Right side of the receiver is marked with Winchester's 2-line address (rear), with the Winchester trademark logo marked on the right side of the chamber. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt body, which is polished in-the-white. 1-piece plain wood pistol grip target stock features a flat checkered steel buttplate, with a 4 1/8" stainless steel hand stop rail present on the underside of the forearm. Toeline of buttstock, as well as the hand stop rail and hand stop feature sling swivels. Stock has possibly been lightly sanded and refinished. Lyman No. 77R globe front sight (insert absent) with factory adj. aperture ladder rear sight mounted in large rear sight dovetail. Rear of bbl. features 2 sight blocks. Left side of receiver is factory drilled and tapped for a side mounted sight rail. Bolt appears to have been erroneously numbered at the factory, exhibiting an electro-penciled "31360" on the underside of the body. MAGS: x1 5-rd. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish overall. Trigger guard exhibits some light wear and thinning, as well as some superficial handling marks. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound and presents nicely. (26-2660/MLW). CURIO. $600-900.
