Cal. 7.63mm. S# 26445. Bbl. 5 1/2". Model 900 semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Spain by Astra and subsequently shipped to "Dept. of Defense, Euzkada" on January 19th of 1937, according to "Astra Firearms and Selected Competitors" by Leonardo M. Antaris. The left side of the sideplate is marked "ASTRA AUTOMATIC PISTOL CAL 763/ PATENTED JULY.12.1928/ Unceta y Compania GUERNICA ". Left side of the frame is marked with the S#, with Spanish proofs marked on the right. Right side of the bbl. extension and bbl. exhibit a Spanish "P" within an ordnance bomb proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with some small parts including the trigger, safety lever, extractor, rear sight slide, and bolt stop exhibiting a nitre blue finish. Bolt is polished in-the-white. Interior of frame and sideplate are jeweled in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Fixed blade front sight, with V-notch tangent rear sight, graduated 50-1,000. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame (left side and with the last 3-digits marked beneath the left grip panel), sideplate, floorplate, follower, closing block stop, travel limiting pin, bbl. / bbl. extension, rear sight assembly, bolt stop, locking block, bolt, as well as the grips. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light edge wear, a few light superficial handling marks, as well as a few spots of light surface oxidation. Nitre blue parts are very good overall, with some areas of light to mild wear and thinning. Front face of the trigger shows wear and thinning through to gray patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light to mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good overall, with a few superficial marks from handling and storage.
