"T" SERIES "EL CAPITAN" HI POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOLS WITH SOFT CASES. 1) BELGIAN BROWNING "EL CAPITAN" HI POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# T364260. Bbl. 4 5/8". "El Capitan" Hi Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale and imported/retailed by Browning Arms Company, circa. 1969. The left side of the slide is marked with Browning's importer information, above "MADE IN BELGIUM". Right side of the forward trigger guard web and 2-piece bbl. exhibit a Belgian commercial proof. Metal components exhibit a polished blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Slotted frame is fitted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips. Slide features an external extractor, with a dovetailed blade front sight, and tangent V-notch rear sight, graduated 50-500. All serialized parts are matching in the "stacked" fashion, and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 phosphate 13-rd., with blued button type floorplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Browning black leather soft case, as well as notes from Charles Wagner detailing this variation. CONDITION: extremely fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few scattered superficial handling marks overall.
