COMMERICIAL, WITH MATCHING STOCK. Cal. 7.63mm. S# 36024. Bbl 5 1/2". Early Pre-War Commercial Mauser C96 with fixed front sight and tangent sight graded 50-1000. Long extractor, two lug firing pin, small ring hammer, thin trigger. Three line address on top of chamber with full SN on left chamber flat. Crown/C/U on left side of barrel extension. Antler proof on right side. Two line Mauser address on right side of frame. Imported marked on left of frame "VON LENGERKE/ & DETMOLD/ NEW-YORK". Fitted with serrated wood panels. Fully matching internally and externally, including the grips. Complete with a factory matching stock. CONDITION: bright 98%+ original rust blue with a few minute flecks of oxidation and wear on forward magazine housing and other areas of expected contact. Fire blued parts at least 95% with thinning/wear in usual locations. Strawed trigger with slight fading on forward surface. Grips retaining most original varnish with just a few superficial handling marks. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Comparable condition stock with original varnish, superficial handling marks, a few oxidative flecks under the congealed oil on hinge, and slight fading with patchy discoloration of lug with marred screw.
