NAVY, MATCHING. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 700656. Standard configuration, early production HSc, w/ low grip screw as procured by the Nazi Navy. This high polish blued gun has fixed front sight, matted channel & drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide w/ Mauser banner followed by 2-line address referencing manufacturer, model & cal. Highlighted "S” (white) & red dotted safety markings. Eagle "N" proofing in usual locations. Full S# on bottom of front strap reflecting this as the 656th HSc made by Mauser. A pantographed Kreigsmarine eagle /"N" on front strap under trigger guard. Correct mag. w/ in the white body & rounded Mauser banner floorplate. Disassembly shows matching electropenciled "656" inside slide. Bbl. not numbered; proofed only. CONDITION: VG plus original salt blue w/ holster wear in expected areas, especially over forward portion of slide and holster rub mark on front strap. Comparable condition grips, the left panel having had had the forward tip neatly repaired, and mag. Mirror bright bore w/ very shallow ring/bulge. Proper manual mechanics except for stickiness upon full retraction. One of the rarest and most desirable HSc’s, rarely offered for sale, a “Holy Grail” piece for any Mauser or WWII military collector! (22-3047/LMA). CURIO. $7,500-12,500.
