GALIL MODEL 323. Cal. 308. S# AAL-2099318. Bbl. 18". Conceived following the 1967 war when Israel was looking for a lighter alternative to the FAL rifle. It was based heavily on the AK-47 design, which the Arab armies had utilized and had been determined to have performed well. It was expanded upon by adding other features such as a folding bipod to increase stability and provide reasonable consistency under automatic fire, which also doubles as a wire cutter. A right side folding shoulder stock was utilized to be more useful to the mechanized units which required shorter platforms to fit inside vehicles. This particular rifle was manufactured by Israeli Military Industries & imported by Action Arms Limited of Philadelphia, PA.. It has a threaded barrel, terminated w/ the proper factory flash hider. Ambidextrous safety / selector. Magazine release located in front of trigger guard. Scope mount slot on left side of receiver. Hooded post front sight w/ flip-up tritium night sight & dual aperture rear sight w/ flip up night sight. Left side sling swivels. Right side folding stock. Blond wood forend.
