.22 RIMFIRE BRASS GATLING GUN WITH CARRIAGE, MADE BY KARL J. FURR & PAUL KUHNI. Cal. 22. S# 64. Bbl. 11 3/4". Model 1883 miniature gatling gun chambered in .22 Rimfire mfg. by Karl J. Furr and Paul Kuhni. Top of the receiver is marked "MANUFD BY/ Colts Pat FA Mfg. Co/ HARTFORD CONN" ahead of the mag., with GATLING GUN/ PATENTED" on a disc, and "MODEL 1883/ No 61/ CAL 22" marked to the rear of the mag. Underside of the gearbox is marked "made by/ Karl J. Furr & Paul Kuhni/ Orem Ut. august 1973". Complete brass construction, with full length brass bbl. cluster shroud. Sides of receiver at muzzle feature 2 brass spike iron sights, with U--notch rear sights, as well as vertical and horizontal levels present at the rear. Levels no longer retain any liquid. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, feed tray, and pintle. MAGS: 1 Aclles pattern "donut" 61-rd. drum mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching numbered brass carriage with 2-brass mag. boxes. Wheels are constructed of wood and featuring brass fittings. 1 mag. box contains instruction paperwork. Wheel pins are absent. CONDITION: brass retains a dull appearance with scattered spotting and verdigris. Mirror bores, exhibiting moderate oxidation at and around the muzzles, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Carriage is very good overall, with matching patina and verdigris to the brass. PROVENANCE: Norm Flayderman family collection. (25-2126/MLW). CURIO. $6,000-8,000.
