PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 427481k. Bbl. 3 3/8". PPK, mfg. by Walther in 1945. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by additional markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information as well as the cal. and model designations. Right side of slide, chamber, and bbl. exhibit an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Slide exhibits a dull late-war blue finish, with the frame exhibiting a plum-colored finish overall. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered black plastic Walther banner logo grip. Standard blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. MAGS: one 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some light wear, a few superficial handling marks, as well as a couple of scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting what appears to be some light pitting and scattered spots of grease while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, with a small crack present on the right side. PROVENANCE: from the estate collection of Charles Wagner. (24-4645/MLW).
